Fall/Winter Inspiration

Fall/winter season is just around the corner for us southern hemisphere gals (even if the actual weather is not showing so). It's time to start pulling out the sweaters, coats, boots and guts because surviving the cold requires a good amount of them. Eventhough I love being cozied up in a thousand layers of clothes, I really dread the transition from really windy and cold outsides to really warm and pleasant insides, like where am I supposed to leave all of these layers?! Other issues to fear are pre & post showering, freezing feet in the middle of the night and the fact that winter clothes are so freaking expensive. Below are some cute pics I've found on Tumblr (here's mine if you wanna follow) that make winter not so frightful. Opinions on winter? Tips from northern hemisphere gals on how to survive?!

Ya ya ya se viene la temporada otoño/invierno para nosotras las del hemisferio sur (aunque el clima no lo demuestre). Ya es tiempo de ir sacando los sweaters, tapados, botas y la mejor onda porque sobrevivir el frío requiere de una buena cantidad de esta última. Aunque me encante estar acurrucada en un millón de capas de ropa, realmente detesto estar afuera con un frío y viento atroz y luego estar adentro donde está calentito gracias a la sagrada calefacción. O sea, ¡¿dónde dejo todas estas capas de ropa?! Es agotador estar abrigándome todo el tiempo. Otros asuntos a temer del invierno son: los momentos previos y posteriores a bañarse, pies congelados en el medio de la noche y el hecho de que la ropa de invierno es muy cara. Room inspiration

Totally unoriginal post, but the more I see these beautiful pictures, the more my desire to restyle my room grows. The fact that it's almost impossible that I'll ever do at least until I move out of my house, makes me yearn it even more. It's pretty clear that I have a mild obsession with lighter tones: whites, tans, greys and a few greens. Essentials for my dream room? El hecho de que es casi imposible que suceda, al menos hasta que (algún día) me mude, me hace ansiarlo aún más. Es bastante claro que tengo una pequeña obsesión con tonos claros: blancos, beiges, grises y algún que otro verde. ¿Cosas esenciales para mi cuarto de ensueño? Inspo: Summer outfits

Hola, hola. Tranquilos/as, estoy viva, no me secuestraron ni nada de eso. Las temperaturas empiezan a subir de a poco y ya nos tenemos que despedir de nuestros amados sweaters y tapados. Me parece bastante difícil tener un estilo original durante el verano porque 1) hay que exponer más piel (si no, te morís de calor) y a todas creo que nos surge alguna que otra inseguridad y 2) al haber menos capas de ropa a diferencia del invierno, hay menos opciones de combinación. Acá les dejo unas fotos que guarde de tumblr, que me van a servir como inspiración para este verano. Las tendencias que me gustaron: mucho mucho blanco, 'culottes' (especie de bermudas, no son las bombachas ja!), camisas, rayas, zapatillas, birkenstocks, tapados/cardigans livianos, monos 'jardineros'. ¿Qué planean usar este verano?

Hiya. Stay calm, I haven't been kidnapped nor anything of the sort. Temperatures are starting to rise (here in the southern hemisphere) and we should start saying goodbye to our cozy sweaters and coats. I find it quite a challenge to have an original style during summer because 1) we have to expose more of our skin (if you wanna survive the heat) and most of us will have some sort of insecurity popping up and 2) there are less layers than in winter, thus less possible combination options. Below are some photos I've saved from tumblr that will be helpful for me this summer. The trends I liked the most: lots of white, culotte pants, blouses, stripes, sneakers, birks, duster coats, overalls. What will you be wearing this summer?

Inspo: Short hair

I've had short hair for a few years now and it's still short because 1) I like it this way, 2) it takes forever for it to grow back to a likeable length, which means I'll keep on cutting it until who knows when. What do you think of short hair? Have you ever considered chopping it all off?

He tenido el pelo corto por ya unos años y sigue corto porque 1) me gusta, 2) tarda siglos en crecer a una longitud que me guste, lo que significa que me lo voy a seguir cortando hasta quien sabe cuando. ¿Qué les parece el pelo corto? ¿Consideraron cortárselo alguna vez?
